Nota: Ja esperava algo do genero quando soube da volta dos coelhomens aos braços da WEA. Será uma boa oportuninidade para os fãs mais novos completarem sua coleçao,desde que os cds cheguem ao mercado nacional com preços razoaveis e não via importadoras, que mesmo com o dolar num valor razoável, cobram horrores pelos disquinhos.
Quanto a seleçao de faixas nenhuma novidade gritante pra quem já vasculhou pelos soulseeks da vida.
Mas como somos fãs iremos comprar na medida do possivel e ver se o encarte vale o investimento.

Tudo de Novo - Tributo ao Ronnie Von

Como boa parte de minha geração, conheci a brilhante “fase psicodélica” da obra de Ronnie Von com a regravação de “Silvia 20 Horas Domingo” pela banda gaúcha Vídeo Hits, e de matérias na revista Bizz e no site Senhor F. Buscando atrair mais atenção para esse trabalho tão obscuro, assim que entrei no famoso site de relacionamentos Orkut, no início de 2004, a primeira comunidade que abri foi a em homenagem ao Ronnie.
Na comunidade surgiu a idéia de um tributo ao disco de 1968, o mais importante desta fase. Como várias canções de outros álbuns também são significativas, não foi possível fazer um só volume. Outro também foi elaborado, com faixas de 1966 até 1972.
Há participações de bandas de todo Brasil, do Pará ao Rio Grande do Sul, o que prova que a obra de Ronnie Von atrai o interesse de vários fãs de boa música. E todos interessados em colocar o nome do artista em seu devido lugar na história do rock brasileiro.
Cada grupo deu sua visão à faixa que escolheu. Algumas regravações foram mais fiéis, outras reconstruíram totalmente a música. Algumas bandas contavam com mais, outras com menos recursos. Mas em comum, a admiração pelo trabalho do artista e o grande interesse na participação desta homenagem.
Como a idéia surgiu em uma comunidade virtual e para o acesso a esta homenagem ser amplo, o tributo será lançado gratuitamente na internet através do link www.ronnievon.com. O site conta também com depoimentos de admiradores e pessoas importantes na carreira de Ronnie Von, como o produtor Arnaldo Saccomani, autor da maioria das letras dessa fase.

Do It Clean and Never Stop were broadcast by the BBC on The Old Grey Whistle Test, but (as far as I know) the whole show was never broadcast.

Its one of (if not THE) best performances that I've ever seen,
and I saw them A LOT between 81-85.
The version of Do It Clean that is on here is the one that was released on the B Side of The Killing Moon 12" Single.
